Associate Consultant Program Overview

The IHUNANYA  Associate Consultant Program is a 12-month, intensive development experience designed to equip the next generation of public relations and communications professionals with the practical skills, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset required to build their own thriving practices.

Through a combination of real-world client exposure, guided mentorship, business training, and leadership development, the program provides a rare opportunity for young professionals to grow under the IHUNANYA brand while earning income and preparing for long-term independence or partnership.

What Makes ICM ACP Different

Unlike internships or short-term fellowships, ACP is a strategic pathway for emerging PR professionals to operate as contract associates of IHUNANYA Consult. Associates will work on actual client briefs, receive access to internal tools, and be eligible for revenue-sharing on contracts they bring in—while also building the foundation for launching their own practice after the program ends.

Key Features

  • Program Duration: 12 months (September 2025 – August 2026)

  • Position Type: Contract Associate (not internship or part-time freelance)

  • Revenue Sharing: Associates receive a handsome percentage of the value of any client or contract they independently bring into the firm

  • Mentorship & Capacity Building: Monthly strategy sessions, workshops, and one-on-one guidance with IHUNANYA’s leadership

  • Professional Tools & Resources: Access to PR proposal templates, strategy frameworks, onboarding guides, and client documentation systems

  • Work Experience: Direct involvement in IHUNANYA-led client projects, campaigns, and media initiatives

  • Exclusivity Clause: Associates may not freelance, consult for, or be employed by another PR or communications agency during the 12-month program

Duties & Responsibilities to IHUNANYA Consult

As a contract associate, you are expected to:

  • Complete monthly tasks assigned by IHUNANYA leadership (e.g., research, media lists, campaign proposals, client check-ins)

  • Contribute actively to team meetings, client deliverables, and internal reviews

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and responsiveness in all interactions

  • Promote IHUNANYA’s brand positively across your network and platforms

  • Uphold all ethical, legal, and brand compliance guidelines set by the firm

  • Submit monthly reports and performance reviews for continued evaluation
  • All selected Associates must be available to participate fully in the program during standard working hours — 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday — throughout the 12-month training period.Daily availability is non-negotiable for program success.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Aged 21–35 years

  • 1–3 years of experience in PR, communications, branding, or related fields

  • Strong interest in building an independent or boutique consultancy

  • Based in Nigeria (Lagos preferred) or able to commit to hybrid participation

  • Must own a laptop and have reliable internet access
